Introduction

Have you ever thought about being in a circus?  What act would you want to perform?  What would your life be like if you were part of a circus?



Your Task

You will begin by learning about many different circus acts.  You will see and learn how people live while working in the circus.  Once you've finished exploring and learning you will compare 2 circus events.  Then you will write a circus poem and illustrate it.

3.    Make a list of balance and motion circus events.  Use the Balance and Motion worksheet to help you.

4.    Choose two circus events from your balance and motion list.  One must be from each column.  Compare these events.  How are they alike?  How are they different?  Use the worksheet to help you.

5.    Write a circus poem using Student Writing Center.

6.    Draw a picture in Kid Pix to go with your poem.  Use only half the screen.  In the other half of the screen put a picture you found from the internet.

Conclusion

Congratulations!  You are now an expert on the circus!
Email your teacher to tell them something special you've learned about the circus and tell why you decided this part of the circus was special.  Send a copy of the note to your computer teacher too!
