What Cloud Am I?


Introduction

Have you ever looked up in the sky?  Have you seen anything floating by?  Well, if you haven't you are going to start today.  Irvington needs a new cloud detective. Today you're going to be cloud crazy and become an expert on the white stuff in the sky.



Your Task

Your job is to learn about three types of clouds.  Fill in your fact sheet to tell what you know about clouds.  Then make a picture of a crazy cloud and a cloud you learned about, using Kid Pix Studio.



The Process

1.  You will work with a buddy and take turns using the mouse.  Before you begin, print the worksheet you will need to use for this activity.
 

2.  Use What are Clouds Page to find
        What are clouds made of?
        How are clouds formed?
        An example of a flat cloud and a puffy cloud.

3.  Use the Athena Weather Page to find
        What do clouds look like?
        What are the names of the three types of clouds?

4.  Look at the Cool Cloud Pictures below to see some cool looking clouds.

5.  Make a picture of a cool cloud using Kid Pix Studio.

6.  Look out the window! What types of clouds are in the sky today?

Conclusion

You have completed your Cloud Quest!  You should know what a cloud is and be able to describe the three types of clouds.  You are now an official cloud crazy detective for Irvington!  Congratulations!
