Introduction:

Your class is about to discover the States of America without leaving your desks!
We hope you enjoy your adventure!

Steps:

1. Where are you in the universe? Print out Where in the Universe are you? worksheet and fill it out for homework. Hand it in to your teacher when you are done
2. You will be given a partner and a state to work with.
3. Show where your state is located.  Print out two copies of theMap of the United States. Color In Your State.
4. Print out the 'My State Is' worksheet.
5. If you work with your partner. One of you will be the technician. The other person will be the recorder. You will switch roles each computer session until the end of this project. (The person who has the first birthday in the calendar year will be the log in for this entire project.)
6. Use the sites listed below to get your answers for the My State Is worksheet.
7. After you have all your needed information and pictures saved follow the instruction sheet to get the usaposter file from Microsoft Publisher.It can be found in the Share drive. It is in a folder called 'USA'. The file is called usaposter.
9. There is a file that you will open. Your teacher will help you get into this file.
10. Now you will be typing in the answers (from your worksheet) and inserting your pictures .
11. Use the sites below to get the pictures needed for your poster:

12. Print the poster out. Ask your teacher for help to put the poster together.
13. Now sit back...relax...and play some state games!
